Dublin Boat Tours will operate special New Year’s Eve fireworks trips from Dún Laoghaire Harbour this December.
The trips will be run by the company’s fleet of rigid inflatable boats (RIBs), offering passengers front-row views of the harbour fireworks from the water.
As Afloat reported earlier, the fireworks will begin at 7.00 pmfireworks will begin at 7.00 pm and run for approximately 11 minutes, accompanied by a musical soundtrack and additional entertainment.
The operator is a division of the Irish National Sailing School, based on the West Pier in Dún Laoghaire Harbour.
Each trip will last 90 minutes and depart from, and return to, the sailing school’s base on the West Pier.
Tickets are priced at €45 per person.
Passengers will be provided with waterproof outer gear for the journey.
Participants are advised to wear warm base layers, footwear with good grip and a woolly hat. Sunglasses are also recommended.
The fleet includes four licensed passenger RIBs, ranging from five to 12 seats.
According to the organisers, RIBs are suited to a wide range of sea conditions, helping to ensure a stable and comfortable trip.
