Accelerate Action: A Celebration of Women in the Marine and Maritime Sector

Irish Lights and the Maritime Area Regulatory Authority are inviting women in the marine/maritime sectors to a networking event this Thursday (6 March) to celebrate International Women’s Day. Irish Lights, the General Lighthouse Authority (GLA) responsible for aids to navigation in waters off Ireland, and the Maritime Area Regulatory Authority (MARA) are launching a special networking event to celebrate International Women’s Day, 2025.

The event is to take place this Thursday, 6 March.

Collaborating with the joint hosts are BIM, Enterprise Ireland, Institute of Chartered Ship Brokers, Irish Chamber of Shipping, Irish Coast Guard, Irish Maritime Development Office, Irish Navy, Marine Institute, Marine Ireland Industry Network, National Maritime College of Ireland, Údarás na Gaeltachta, and Water Safety Ireland, warmly invite all women from across the marine and maritime sectors to a special onsite networking event to celebrate International Women’s Day.

The event venue will be held at the Irish Lights Headquarters in Dun Laoghaire Harbour, and to see the event programme and list of guest speakers, click here.

Noting there is a 'limited in-person' availability, early registration click here is advised for onsite attendance, which will be on a first-come basis.

The event is being broadcast, so remote attendance is also possible for those who are interested in celebrating and supporting women in the marine and maritime sectors.

The free hybrid event is to take place between 10:30 AM and 1:00 PM.
