Lloyd's Register and Maritime London are to host a joint webinar: COP 26 – First Assessment on the Outcomes for Shipping, which is to be held tomorrow (Wed. 24 Nov).

Since the start of the year, the maritime industry has been evaluating opportunities for voice at the UNFCC event being held in Glasgow, Scotland. World leaders have flown in, conversations have been had, and many sectors have been the focus of keen attention.

But what are the outcomes of COP26 for shipping? Were the industry’s ambitions and objectives for the 12-day event achieved? And what are the next steps for the industry?

The webinar is to be moderated by Jos Standerwick, Chief Executive of Maritime London, who will assess the impact of COP26 outcomes ahead of MEPC77, the efficacy of shipping to lobby policymakers and what is likely to happen next.

The Panellists:

Jonathan Beard, Partner, Infrastructure Advisory - Strategy & Transactions Asia-Pacific Platform, EY

Charles Haskell, Decarbonisation Programme Manager, Lloyd's Register

Julian Proctor, CEO, Purus Marine

Helen Tveitan de Jong, Chairman & CEO, Carisbrooke Shipping Holdings Ltd

Webinar details:

Time: 10:00 - 11:00am (GMT)
Date: 24 November 2021
