The Jason Ker–designed racing yacht Blue Belle has been offered for sale on Afloat, priced at €35,000, after spending several years laid up ashore.
Built in 2002 by Vision Yachts in the UK, the Ker 11.3 is described as being in notably good condition despite limited recent use.
The light-displacement racer features foam sandwich epoxy construction, a fin keel with lead bulb, and a carbon fibre spade rudder.
Her carbon C-Spars rig includes swept-back spreaders, rod rigging and a non-overlapping headsail configuration, designed for simplicity and performance.
The yacht is powered by an 18hp Yanmar diesel engine, though the owner advises it may require rebuild or replacement.
Down below, accommodation is stripped for racing and includes four berths, a compact galley, navigation station and marine toilet.
A substantial sail inventory is included, with Banks and Hyde sails dating from 2002 to 2004, alongside storm sails and a trysail.
Blue Belle has an established racing record, including overall victory in the 2006 Kinsale to Fastnet Race.
The owner said the boat “has been laid up for the last ten years due to other commitments”.
The broker, Crosshaven Boatyard, added: “Even though this boat has been laid up for a number of years, she is in surprisingly good condition.”
The yacht’s last IRC rating was 1.157, underlining her continued competitiveness.
