A classic Hartley 27 cabin cruiser with a recent marine survey and a guide price of €14,000 has come onto the market in Howth Harbour in North Dublin.

The vessel, named *Tidesong*, is a traditional wooden cruiser based on plans by renowned New Zealand naval architect Richard Hartley, whose designs are recognised worldwide among motor cruiser and sailing yacht enthusiasts.

Measuring 8.24 metres overall with a beam of 3.06 metres, the semi-displacement cruiser is designed for both coastal cruising and inland waterways such as the Shannon system.

Constructed in hot-moulded marine plywood on a laminated mahogany frame, the vessel is powered by a 175hp Perkins six-cylinder turbo-diesel engine coupled to a Borg Warner transmission. Steering is hydraulic and includes an Intelli-Steer wireless control system.

Accommodation includes four berths split between forward and aft cabins, along with a galley featuring a two-ring gas cooker, sink and storage facilities. The boat is also fitted with a Jabsco toilet and a range of onboard storage options.

Navigation and safety equipment include a Standard Horizon chartplotter and GPS, DSC-enabled Silva marine radio, Garmin depth sounder, magnetic compass, electric anchor winch, handheld VHF radio and a four-man emergency liferaft.

The Hartley is offered with a customised heavy-duty road trailer fitted with hydraulic brakes and benefits from a detachable rear canopy enclosure and spacious stern fishing area.

According to a marine survey completed during the 2025 season, the vessel's hull, deck, superstructure, propulsion machinery and equipment were found to be in good structural condition.

The survey concluded that the cruiser was in a satisfactory seagoing condition, had been constructed to a good standard and had been well maintained.

Currently berthed in Howth Harbour, the advertiser says the vessel must be viewed and trialled to be fully appreciated. Read the full advert here.
