Afloat.ie: Youth Interest for Monkstown Bay SC

30th November 2009

One of the most encouraging aspects noted by Monkstown Bay Sailing Club at its annual general meeting on Sunday (29th November 2009) was the increased interest amongst parents encouraging young people into sailing. Training youngsters has been one of the strong growth areas of the club, where membership has increased and there has been a big interest in the development of the Optimist Class, a new arrival to the Bay area. The 505 Class brought considerable success to the club in the past season, where the cruiser and dinghy classes are continuing to strengthen.
