Flat seas, wind from 320 degrees up to 15 knots, and sunshine were a marked contrast to Monday's Volvo Cork Week opening races off Cork Harbour; still, the same result prevailed at the top of the IRC Zero division. After six races sailed, repeat visitor Nicholas Burns Mills, 40, from Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club, continues to hold the overall lead.
The Blitz crew of eleven have eight sailors from Hong Kong on board.
Burns scored 3,1,3 on Tuesday to stay two points clear of the Isle Of Man Yacht Club Cape 31 Shotgunn (Michael Wilson) on 10 points.
In third place - but 12 points off second - is Arklow Sailing Club's Lance Allen in the J/122E Javelin.
Yesterday's second-place finisher, Jelly Baby from the host club, was subsequently disqualified from the first race, dropping the Jones family crew down the overall rankings to seventh in the nine boat fleet.

Racing continues on Wednesday with the Harbour Race for all classes as part of the five-day schedule at Cork Week 2024.
