24 Water Wags turned out for the AIB Dublin Bay Sailing Club (DBSC) race on Wednesday, August 21st.
Race Officer Harry Gallagher set a three-round windward leeward course with a final 4th beat to the finish at the weather mark in a challenging shifty SSW 12 knot breeze with gusts of up to 25 knots in Dun Laoghaire harbour.
Moosmie sailed by John O’Driscoll, led at the first weather mark, and was closely followed by Swift, sailed by the Kilroys. Seán Craig on Puffin, who rounded the first weather mark in 8th place, climbed up to 2nd by the second weather mark, and a close race followed between the top three, with Moosmie holding on to the lead. Puffin came a close second, with Swift finishing just behind in third place.
