There is no stopping Albin Express North Star, which scored their seventh straight bullet on day four of IRC Three at Volvo Cork Week, putting them on target for one of the regatta's major perpetual trophies on Friday evening.

Principal Race Officer Con Murphy sent the fleet on a windward leeward course just east of Roche’s point. The first race was in a 190-degree wind up to 15-20 knots in wet, misty conditions.

In race two, the wind dropped to about 12 knots, and visibility dropped to about 300m in fog. Due to poor visibility, no race 3 was held.

The Royal Cork YC boat is owned by Fiona Young, with son Jack Young at the helm. Conor Twomey’s First Class 8 Allig8r from the Royal St. George YC is in second place.

Just two points behind in third is Conor Phelan’s Royal Cork YC Quarter Tonner Anchor Challenge.
