Thick fog delayed the start of Wednesday's scheduled harbour racing at Cork Week after visibility in Cork Harbour dropped to around 100 metres.
The AP postponement signal was displayed ahead of the planned 12 noon start as race officials monitored conditions.
Principal Race Officer Con Murphy, whose committee vessel was anchored approximately 100 metres off Fort Camden, reported the restricted visibility on Wednesday morning.
Harbour racing had been scheduled for all Cork Week fleets as part of the regatta's rotating race programme. Organisers are expected to review conditions before deciding when racing can begin.
