Dun Laoghaire harbour master Capt Harry Duggan confirmed that members of the “blue light” and voluntary services will attend, and members of the Defence Forces School of Music will perform.

The RNLI’s Dun Laoghaire all-weather Lifeboat will also be open to tours.

Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council chief executive Frank Curran said the harbour is “ embarking on an exciting transformation that will pave the way for a vibrant and inclusive future”.

He said the Naval Service visits to Dún Laoghaire are “an important consideration within the harbour’s master plan.

“The visit of the LÉ George Bernard Shaw earlier this year proved hugely popular with locals and tourists alike and we anticipate an equally positive visit this month,”he said.
