Following the final results of the Royal Cork Yacht Club (RCYC) Autumn League, which were confirmed on Sunday, two vintage Royal Cork boats have claimed top national honours in the ICRA Boat of the Year Award.
David and James Dwyer's Farr Half Tonner Swuzzlebubble retains the IRC Boat of the Year title for a third year. The Castro three-quarter tonner Bataleur ’88 has been named ECHO Boat of the Year.
Points were tight across the fleets, with the ECHO award decided on a tie-break.

In IRC, Swuzzlebubble won with 11.5 points. The Dublin Bay JPK 10.80 Rockabill VI took second on 10.5, while Quarter Tonner Diamond completed the podium with 8.25.
In ECHO, Bataleur edged the Elan 333 Genesis on countback, with both tied on 6 points. J122e ValenTina placed third on 5.5.
ICRA Commodore Denis Byrne said the results highlight the success of the revised Progressive ECHO system. “When comparing IRC and ECHO results, it is clear that the improved Progressive ECHO system has had great reward,” he said, adding that he looks forward to its continued use in 2026.
Both teams will be formally recognised at the ICRA Annual Conference at the Royal St. George Yacht Club on Saturday, 7 February.
