Pata Negra Leads ISORA 2025 in Close-Fought Offshore Series

Pwllheli Sailing Club's Pata Negra has clinched the lead in the 2025 Musto ISORA offshore racing series with two races left to sail.

Skippered by Andrew and Sam Hall, the IRC Class 0 Lombard 46 tops the overall leaderboard with 531.4 points.

Just behind is one-time leader Aurelia, a J122 from the Royal St George Yacht Club. Skipper Chris  Power Smith is on 528.6 points.

Third place is Mojito, another J122 from Pwllheli Sailing Club, helmed by Peter Dunlop and Victoria Cox, with 510.6 points.

ISORA (Irish Sea Offshore Racing Association) runs annual offshore racing events across the Irish Sea, and this weekend will be the final of two Coastal Series, one from Dun Laoghaire and another at Pwllheli.

The final race of the 2025 ISORA calendar is the 75-mile James Eadie Memorial Race on Saturday, 6th September from Pwllheli – Kish Light – Dun Laoghaire – James Eadie with a weighting of 1.3.
