Dun Laoghaire’s Flying Fifteen Fleet Celebrate the 2025 Sailing Season

There was a good attendance at the National Yacht Club recently when the Dun Laoghaire Flying Fifteen fleet celebrated the 2025 season just past. A variety of trophies were awarded during a very good dinner, followed by some enjoyable post-dinner entertainment.

The awards were presented by 2025 DLFF Class Captain, David Gorman. Winners are listed below:

Photos from the evening were captured by members of the Gorman family while David and Sarah Gorman were otherwise engaged.

At the end of the event, the Captain’s peaked cap was ceremoniously passed to the incoming Class Captain, Tom Galvin. David Gorman thanked the fleet and especially his wife Sarah for her instrumental role in organising the event. Tom Galvin then shared his sailing background, expressed his enthusiasm for the role ahead, and presented tokens of appreciation to both Sarah and Dave. The night concluded with more post-dinner entertainment.
