Class aficionado Vincent Delany has produced a 'Squib Ladder' for the 2024 season based on results from five events.

The ladder is not an official document from the Irish Squib Class, but Delany's data shows that a healthy fleet of 70 Squibs competed in the regional championships in 2024.

Ian Travers and Keith O'Riordan of Kinsale YC are the ladder leaders in 'Atomic', a Squib they only bought this season. Their former Squib, 'Outlaw,' is now in 15th place.

There has always been a Squib rivalry between the Northern, Eastern and Southern fleets.

A relative newcomer to the fleet is Aidan O'Connell with different crews in 'Ruby Blue' of the Royal Irish YC who lies in second place.

'Crackers' is in third place among the father-and-son team, Sean and Paul Murphy of Kinsale YC.

The decision to hold the Southern Championship in Baltimore, an 8-hour drive for the Northern Ireland fleet, meant that none attended, so top northern Squib, Gordon Patterson and Ross Nolan's 'Quickstep III' is in fourth place.

A UK Squib is in fifth place, Dick and Pam Batt's 'Squib' from Royal Victoria YC.

The winner of the Irish Squib Nationals, Michael O'Suilleabhain, and his dad, Michael, in 'Mucky Duck' from Kinsale YC, are in sixth place, as they did not attend the Easterns or Northerns this year.
