There were south-easterly winds from 14 to 19 knots on Dublin Bay for Saturday (July 19th) races of the AIB DBSC Summer Series.
A two-boat Cruisers Zero IRC race saw John Treanor's J112e Valentina from the National Yacht Club win from Sean Lemass's First 40, Prima Forte from the Royal Irish with a corrected time win of over nine minutes.
A five-boat turnout in Cruisers One IRC saw J109 designs in the top two places. In a two-hour race, Royal Irish's Richard Goodbody's White Mischief won by 14 seconds on corrected time (2:05:45 corr) from overall series leader Brian Hall, third on Something Else (2:05:45 corr) from the National Yacht Club. Third was Hall's clubmate, Tony Fox, in the A35, Gringo (2:09:24 corr).
In the IRC Two division, Lindsay Casey's J97 Windjammer (1:25:30 corr) won from Jim Mc Cann's Mustang 30 Peridot (1:28:16 corr). The Sigma 33 Moonshine (Moloney, O'Flynn & O'Sullivan) was third on 1:32:53 corr. Three competed.
Gerry Costello's First 285 Pamafe won from Sarah Barry's Black Sheep in Cruisers Three ECHO division. Wyn McCormack's Wynward was third. Four competed.
Johnny Phillips' Elan 333 Playtime won the Cruisers 5a (ECHO) race. Charles Broadhead's Persistence was second, and PJ Timmins' Misfits was third. Six competed.
Estelle was the winner of the Dublin Bay 21 race from Gerladine. Third was Garavogue. Oola did not finish the five-boat race.
Four competed in races 22 and 23 of the SB20 class with national champion, Michael O'Connor, sailing Ted, winning both.
In the two Flying Fifteen races, David Gorman won the first and Alistair Court the second.
