The DBSC Spring Chicken Series sponsored by AIB concluded on a sunny Dublin Bay in light to medium airs on Sunday morning (March 8th) with overall honours going to the Sigma 38 State O’Chassis of the Royal Irish Yacht Club.
Race Officer Brian Mathews confirmed the result at the National Yacht Club after the final race, with the Kevin Buckley skippered yacht topping the standings at the end of the six-race series.
Second overall was the J80 Sea Jade, while third place went to Camira, a First 31.7.

The series, now in its 25th year, attracted strong turnouts across the early-season programme on the bay, including several new boats for the upcoming season.
Prizegiving followed racing on Sunday. Awards were presented for overall podium positions and individual weekly race winners.
As previously reported last season, due to its fragility, the organisers retired the Jasmin Trophy for the series after many years in 2025, replacing it with a brand-new Spring Chicken Cup, donated by former DBSC Commodore Pat Shannon.
Spot prizes were also drawn, with all competing boats included in the final draw.
The Spring Chicken series traditionally marks the start of the Dublin Bay keelboat season, with the club reminding members that entries close on Wednesday, 18 March, for the summer season.
