Monkstown Bay Sailing Club's Dash for Cash Has €600 in Prizes

Monkstown Bay Sailing Club's 'Dash for Cash' race with €600 in prizes for the top three boats will be sailed on Saturday, September 28.

The T Bourke-sponsored event is a mixed dinghy pursuit race based on the RYA Portsmouth Yardstick system, the club committee has announced, with the qualification that the "Race Committee may opt to change the format to a standard PY timed race at any stage."

"Entries from monohull dinghies ranging between PY697 and PY 1385 will only be accepted," according to the Sailing Instructions.

Race briefing will be on the Sand Quay at 12.30 p.m. with First Gun scheduled for 1455.

Entry is open to members of ISA/RYA clubs, for a fee of €10 up to 11.59 p.m. on Weds, September 25, rising to €20 for late entries.

There is €300 for 1st place; €100 for 2nd and €50 for third. There will be €100 for the first 18 year-old or under helm, €50 for the first Feva, with "additional prizes on the day" according to the club.
