Ireland's biggest windsurfing event, Mayo Mayhem, will take place at the end of the September in Mayo on one of the county’s wild and windswept beaches.

The exact location, days and times will be announced on Wednesday, September 25th.

The Irish event is part of the World Windsurfing Tour and attracts the best windsurfers from around the globe. They come to try their skills in the wild North Atlantic to secure points for the Windsurfing World Tour.

Competitors are scored on their extreme jump and wave riding skills which has spectators calling it a mix of surfing and motor cross on water!

This year’s event is sponsored by RWE Renewables.
