The Department of Transport has been advised by Energia that they intend to recover the deployed floating LiDAR (FLiDAR) buoy deployed over a year ago in the North Celtic Sea.
Recovery operations will be carried out between 10 May and 10 June, subject to weather and operational constraints, and will be conducted by the Mar Fortune (callsign LEZI).
As the vessel will be recovering buoy equipment, it will be restricted in its ability to manoeuvre. Therefore, all other vessels are requested to leave a wide berth during the operations and pass at minimum speed to reduce vessel wash. Vessel audio transmissions will be conducted with other seafarers to notify them of the operations.
