Drogheda Port Company has announced its 2025 Annual Art Commission. This initiative continues a 20-year tradition of highlighting the area's maritime heritage through visual art.

Local artists are encouraged to interpret the maritime theme. The port seeks reflections of its historical significance and evolving community role.

CEO Paul Fleming stated, “Our annual art commission is more than just an artistic endeavour. We are excited to see how artists will capture the essence of our maritime legacy.”

The chosen artist will create a piece for the port's permanent collection. Previous works have included pieces by Emily McCormack, Gill McCulloch, and Sallyanne Morgan.

All visual art forms, including painting, sculpture, and mixed media, are welcome. Artists must submit a brief biography, three photographs of their work, and a proposal related to the theme.

Submissions are due by 30th May 2025. Enquiries can be sent to Nessa Lally at [email protected].
