The Royal Irish Yacht Club will host its annual Sail for Cancer fundraiser on Friday, 21 August, with all proceeds supporting the Irish Cancer Society. The evening event combines racing, fundraising, and social activities on Dublin Bay, with the first gun scheduled for 6.30pm.
Organisers are encouraging crews to collect points throughout the race, with prizes awarded for performance as well as participation. Extra points will be available for the best-dressed crew, an on-the-water pub quiz and a dinghy race staged off the Royal Irish Yacht Club.
The event will conclude ashore with après-sail drinks, a barbecue, live music, prize-giving and a raffle.
The fundraiser is being organised in association with the National Yacht Club, the Royal St George Yacht Club and the Dún Laoghaire Motor Yacht Club.
All proceeds from the event will go to the Irish Cancer Society.
Entries are now open via the event QR code and organisers are encouraging sailors from across Dublin Bay to take part.
