Irish Ferries has won its 18th successive ‘Best Ferry Company’ award at the annual Irish Travel Trade News (ITTN) awards.

The multi-award-winning ferry company operates on routes between Ireland and Britain (Dublin to Holyhead and Rosslare to Pembroke), Ireland and France (Dublin to Cherbourg), and Britain and France (Dover to Calais).

Commenting on the award, Managing Director of Irish Ferries, Andrew Sheen, said, “Irish Ferries is widely recognized across Europe for delivering a consistent high standard of service to our customers.”

“Winning this award is a testament to the dedication and passion of our entire team. Every member of staff, whether onboard or behind the scenes, plays a vital role in delivering the outstanding travel experience we’re so well known for. I’m so proud of what we’ve achieved over two decades—winning 18 years in a row is some record! ”

The ITTN Best Ferry Company 2025 award was voted for by the travel agents of Ireland, North and South.

Irish Ferries is an operating division of publicly quoted Irish Continental Group (ICG) with a fleet of cruise ferries, including the Oscar Wilde, James Joyce, Ulysses, W.B. Yates, Isle of Inisheer, Isle of Innisfree, Isle of Inishmore, and the seasonal Dublin Swift fast craft. Afloat adds that the craft, likewise to last year, is this winter in England, in layover mode in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria.

The ITTN Irish Travel Trade Awards took place at a gala event at the weekend in Dublin, hosted by TV and radio star Jennifer Zamparelli. The event brought together the industry’s leading figures to celebrate achievement, innovation, and excellence across all areas of the Irish travel trade.

We've got a favour to ask

More people are reading Afloat.ie than ever thanks to the power of the internet but we're in stormy seas because advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news sites, we haven't put up a paywall because we want to keep our marine journalism open.

Afloat.ie is Ireland's only full-time marine journalism team and it takes time, money and hard work to produce our content.

So you can see why we need to ask for your help.

If everyone chipped in, we can enhance our coverage and our future would be more secure. You can help us through a small donation. Thank you.
