Ferry operator Stena Line has won the title of Best Ferry Company at the 33rd Northern Ireland Travel & Tourism Awards.

Over 350 guests from across many sectors attended the annual travel industry ‘Oscars’ held at the Slieve Donard Hotel, Newcastle, Co. Down. Hosting the event was local comedian Shane Todd, and Stena Line was once again named Best Ferry Company.

It’s the 32nd time Stena Line has picked up the prestigious award, and for Orla Noonan, Stena Line’s Travel Commercial Manager (Irish Sea), every win is important, commenting, “Even though we have been very successful at these awards over many years, it’s still a real honor for our entire team to receive this accolade.

“We have many dedicated colleagues on our vessels and onshore who work tirelessly to provide the best possible levels of customer service, reliability, and punctuality all year round.  To have our team effort recognized at this prestigious awards ceremony is something we will always treasure and work hard to retain year after year.”

2025 is a milestone year for Stena Line’s Irish Sea operations, as earlier this month the company marked 30 years of operating the Dublin-Holyhead route.

Next month, Stena Line will also celebrate 30 years of port operations at Belfast Harbour. Additionally, the company will hold the naming ceremony for its recently launched freight ferry, Stena Futura, on the Belfast-Heysham route.
