The operator Irish Ferries has been named the ‘Best Ferry Company’ at the annual ITNN’s Travel Trade Awards, which took place in Dublin over the weekend.

This was the 17th consecutive year that Irish Ferries won the highly prized Ireland’s Travel Trade Network (ITTN) awards, which recognise and reward excellence in product and service as voted by Irish travel agents, north and south.

The accolade means that Irish Ferries holds three leading ‘Best Ferry Company’ titles from the travel trade, having also been awarded the top honour at the 2024 Irish Travel Industry Awards and 2024 UK Group Leisure & Travel Awards, earlier this year.

Nora Costello, Consumer Marketing & Sales Director, said, "We very much welcome and appreciate once again getting the support and votes of the travel trade for this award. Of course, a special thank you to our teams, all of whom work hard to deliver the excellent service and high standards expected from Irish Ferries and contribute towards this welcome recognition.

The award ceremony took place at the Clayton Hotel on Burlington Road, where attendees were treated to an evening of entertainment, from the performances of Crystal Dancers to an LED Dancer Show and the Spring Break Band.

Ireland’s Travel Trade Network (ITTN) has been providing Ireland’s travel industry, with independent, insightful, professional reporting for over 55 years.

We've got a favour to ask

More people are reading Afloat.ie than ever thanks to the power of the internet but we're in stormy seas because advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news sites, we haven't put up a paywall because we want to keep our marine journalism open.

Afloat.ie is Ireland's only full-time marine journalism team and it takes time, money and hard work to produce our content.

So you can see why we need to ask for your help.

If everyone chipped in, we can enhance our coverage and our future would be more secure. You can help us through a small donation. Thank you.
