This year’s BJ Marine Taste of Greystones Regatta in County Wicklow will take place on Saturday, 23rd and Sunday, 24th August. Early bird rates (of just €75) available up to Monday, 11th August
The BJ Marine Taste of Greystones always promises a warm welcome for all boats, and this year is no exception. Racing over two days starts with a 14.55 first gun on Saturday, giving boats plenty of time to make the passage to Greystones. Two races on Sunday to blow off the cobwebs with the first gun at 10.55 ensures everybody is off the water by 14.30, fed, watered and loaded with prizes in time for an afternoon passage home.
The Taste Of Greystones offers a great end-of-season away weekend for all the crew, and as the name suggests, the town of Greystones is well stocked with eateries and a great choice of watering holes.
Daragh Cafferky, from Greystones Sailing Club, the organisers of the BJ Marine Taste of Greystones event, said at the announcement that while “the sailing club can’t control the wind, we can guarantee a great weekend for all visiting crews. With an early bird entry of just €75, you get free berth, free breakfast, dinner and lunch, making the whole journey almost profitable and certainly an enjoyable way to end the summer sailing season!
