The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA) will stage a nationwide roadshow across the UK and Ireland to promote its revised Code of Practice for marinas.
The programme includes 11 events and is designed to introduce the updated guidelines for marina planning, design and operations ahead of the Code’s formal launch.
The 2026 roadshow is sponsored by Inland and Coastal alongside Haven Knox Johnston, MHPS and Dura Composites. One event will take place in Ireland at Inland and Coastal’s headquarters in Banagher in County Offaly.
TYHA is the UK’s leading marina trade association, representing marina operators, boatyards and marine businesses nationally and internationally.
Its Code of Practice is widely regarded as the benchmark for best practice in the marina sector. The guidance supports safe, sustainable and commercially successful marina operations.
The eighth edition of the Code has been developed in partnership with Marina Projects following consultation with TYHA members. It incorporates principles drawn from international standards and regulatory frameworks.
The updated Code is divided into four volumes covering Planning & Design, Marina Operations, Boatyard and Superyacht operations.
According to TYHA, the structure is intended to ensure the guidance remains relevant to marinas of different sizes while reflecting evolving environmental standards, operational practices and customer expectations.
The roadshow is aimed primarily at TYHA members and marina stakeholders. It will offer insight into the revised Code and discuss emerging challenges and opportunities across the marina sector.
The Irish event will take place at Inland and Coastal’s Banagher facility on Tuesday, March 24.
Proceedings begin with lunch at noon followed by presentations from 1 pm.
Organisers say the event will provide an opportunity for marina operators and industry stakeholders to discuss the updated Code and share operational experience.
Registration is required and places are limited.
