This weekend, the Rose Bowl Regatta for Dragons and Squibs is scheduled for Glandore Harbour in West Cork.
The Rose Bowl was first commissioned in 1986 by Kieran O'Donoghue, then owner of the Glandore Inn. It is awarded to the overall winner of a six-race series held on consecutive days and is one of the premier trophies in the sailing calendar for Glandore Harbour Yacht Club.
Dragons and Squibs race for the Bowl.
There will be a briefing before racing at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the Glandore clubhouse. First Gun for Dragons will be at 1300, with Squibs following at 1310. Three races are planned for each fleet on Saturday.
