boot Düsseldorf 2026 kicked off with over 50,000 visitors during its first weekend, setting a strong tone for the world's largest yacht and water sports fair.
Held across 16 exhibition halls, the event offers a mix of top-tier displays and interactive activities. Organisers say attendance figures so far mirror those of previous years. Visitors can try sailing, diving, paddling and surfing, or explore an extensive range of boats and yachts on display until 25 January.
Among the Irish boat sales news at the show, Dun Laoghaire's MGM Boats, the only UK and Irish brokerage presence at the show, has launched a new brokerage service in Dusseldorf, while Malahide Boat Sales has announced the return of the German Bavaria range to Ireland. Meanwhile, Greystones Harbour-based Beneteau agents BJ Marine launched the new First 60 at the weekend.
The event’s theme, “We Love Water,” comes to life through hands-on experiences and family-friendly attractions. Finni, the new plush whale mascot and children's ambassador, is also proving popular.
Tickets start at €12 for weekday afternoons. boot.club members can access two-day tickets for €19. Entry is free for children under 13.
Nearly 1,500 exhibitors from more than 100 countries are showcasing products and innovations across 220,000 square metres. From dinghies to superyachts, visitors can see it all. Diving, surfing, kite surfing and canoeing are also represented in full. Workshops, live demos, and stage shows featuring water-sports stars add further appeal.
Environmental focus is growing, too. The Blue Innovation Dock, held with the European Boating Industry (EBI), features expert discussions on sustainable marine technologies.
