Five race wins (and all scores in the top five) at the 2024 Flying Fifteen British Isles Championships gave Graham Vials and Chris Turner in Floaty McFloatface a comfortable winning margin of 13 points to take the title on Strangford Lough Yacht Club on Saturday.
The Derwent Reservoir and Lyme Regis Sailing Club pair did not need to finish the last race on Saturday to lift the trophy.
Day one leaders Ian Pinnell and Ian Cadwallader of Hayling Island Sailing Club, finishing on 28 points (with two race wins in their tally), had an eight-point margin in second place and did not compete in the last race. Third overall was Netley SC's Ben McGrane and Jamie Stewart on 16 points.
A second scored in the last race brought Connemara's Niall and Ronan O Briain up to fourth overall and top Irish boat at the UK championships.
