The last race of the 2024 National 18 dinghy class season at Royal Cork Yacht Club was for 'The Barry Trophy', which sailed in the river outside the Clubhouse on Friday evening, October 4th.
It was a drizzly night with a flukey wind and a flood tide. Ten boats came to the line, including 431, a new build from Brightlingsea for Colin Barry.
Rigged during the day, the new addition was christened on Friday night, sailed by Colin Chapman. She was over the line at the start (OCS), and although 431 led the fleet, the winner was Alex Barry with Kieran O'Connell and Ritchie Leonard.
