The Sea-Fisheries Protection Authority (SFPA) has issued a notice for the seafood industry on technical requirements for Irish companies trading with Taiwan.
It has also published a separate information notice in relation to exports to French Polynesia.
Only cooked seafood products are approved for export from Ireland to French Polynesia, and should be accompanied by a copy of the generic third-country health certificate for fishery products and the generic third-country certificate of origin.
In addition, consignments destined for French Polynesia must be accompanied by a copy of the SFPA Sanitary Certificate for trade with French Polynesia, the SFPA says.
These certificates are available on application to approved establishments from the local SFPA port office.
For Irish seafood exports to Taiwan, the SFPA says the Taiwanese authorities maintain a system whereby only products on their approved lists can be exported from Ireland to Taiwan.
