The National Search and Rescue Plan Report 2022‑2024 has been published by Seán Canney, Minister of State responsible for the Irish Coast Guard.

The report gives a full overview of search and rescue (SAR) activity across Ireland’s land, sea and air domains from 2022 to 2024.

It contains detailed statistics and summaries on the scale and complexity of operations during that period.

It reflects how the SAR service, staffed by both professionals and volunteers, maintained high standards of training, equipment and coordination.

“Ireland’s Search and Rescue services continue to demonstrate exceptional professionalism, resilience and coordination,” Minister Canney said.

He applauded the “expertise, time, and energy, many of them on a voluntary basis, to deliver this vital public service”.

The report not only captures the range of activities undertaken but also highlights the commitment and dedication of personnel across aeronautical, land and maritime domains.

It offers insight into how services worked together to ensure a robust and trusted national response.

The full report can be accessed at The National Search and Rescue Plan.
