The ISORA offshore fleet returns to action on Saturday (July 25th) with the latest race of the 2026 championship, a 70-nautical-mile passage from Pwllheli to Greystones that is expected to provide another important test in the season-long series. The race is the seventh offshore event of the year and carries a 1.2 championship weighting. Racing is scheduled to start at 0730 for Classes 1 and 2, with Class 0 following at 0800.
The course takes the fleet from Pwllheli via the PSC 1 turning mark before heading across the Irish Sea to South Codling and the finish off Greystones Sailing Club. The passage is approximately 70 nautical miles.
All competing yachts will carry YB trackers, allowing supporters to follow the race live throughout the crossing.
While the official entry list has yet to be released, several leading Irish campaigns are expected to sit out the race.
Among those expected to race is Loinnir, but reigning ICRA IRC overall champion El Syd, Frank Whelan's Greystones based Ker 43, is understood to have already relocated to Schull following Cork Week and will not race again until Calves Week. Fellow Class 0 campaign, Johnny Treanor's NMD 43 Cristina is also expected to remain on the south coast ahead of the West Cork regatta.

The anticipated absences reflect the increasingly busy midsummer offshore calendar, with a number of Irish boats opting to remain on the south coast between Cork Week and Calves Week rather than return to the Irish Sea for a single offshore race.
The final composition of the fleet will become clear once ISORA publishes its official entry list later this week.
