Dublin Port has launched its 2026 season of behind-the-scenes bus and boat tours, offering visitors a closer look at Ireland’s busiest port.
The tours explore the working operations of Dublin Port, which handles €165 billion worth of freight and 1.6 million passengers each year.
The guided bus tours provide access to areas of the port rarely seen by the public. Visitors can learn how freight, shipping and passenger operations connect Ireland to global markets while supporting the national economy.
The port says the experience is aimed at anyone interested in maritime activity, Dublin history or the logistics behind one of the country’s most important transport hubs.
The boat tours offer a water-based perspective of the port and Dublin Bay. Passengers can view container terminals, commercial shipping traffic and historic waterfront landmarks while hearing about the port’s development over the past 300 years.
Dublin Port says the tours also highlight its environmental work in Dublin Bay’s UNESCO biosphere and its role in supporting local communities.
Free tour spaces are also available for schools and charitable groups through an expression of interest application process.
Bookings for both bus and boat tours are now open through the Dublin Port website here
