The offshore support vessel Connector arrived in Dún Laoghaire Harbour on Monday morning (June 8th) on a return visit to the south Dublin port.
The bright red multi-purpose vessel entered the harbour escorted by a Dublin Port pilot vessel and attracted attention from walkers and harbour users along the East Pier asit reversed into its Carlisle Pier ship berth.
According to local shipping sources, the vessel is in port for a crew change and is expected to remain alongside for approximately two days.
This is not Connector's first visit to Dún Laoghaire, having called to the harbour previously.
According to Marine Traffic.com Connector (IMO: 9244568) is a Multi Purpose Offshore Vessel and is sailing under the flag of DENMARK. Her length overall (LOA) is 90.2 meters and her width is 19 meters.
The vessel's arrival adds to a busy period of commercial shipping movements in the harbour ahead of the summer season.
